On these snowy winter days, it is helpful to remember the beauty of the springtime, especially in The Arnold Arboretum. While The Arboretum may not be a library, it does hold thousands of items in its living “reference collections.” This one is the Carefree Beauty Rose, part of the Bradley Rosaceous Collection donated in 1985 by Eleanor Cabot Bradley 🌹

The Bradley Rosaceous Collection was renovated 10 years ago into the landscape that exists today. It’s a popular place for wedding and engagement photos – as is, incidentally, the Eleanor Cabot Bradley’s former home in Canton, Massachusetts!

In the current age of converging public relations, marketing, and social media, this collection at Baker Library provides a window into the corporation’s innovative use of photography and the emerging field of PR to galvanize public opinion -- check it out at https://www.library.hbs.edu/us-steel
