On September 8, 2023, Morocco was struck by a devastating 6.8-magnitude earthquake. Over 2,500 lives have been tragically lost, and the count of victims continues to rise. As we go about our daily routines, thousands in Morocco are left homeless and in dire need of assistance.
❤️ Moroccan students in the Boston Area (from Harvard, MIT, Boston University, Northeastern, Tufts, and Hult) are raising funds to help the victims.
If you wish to support these relief efforts, please donate using the link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/boston-moroccan-students-unite-for-morocco?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link_all&utm_source=customer
Or come meet us at Lobby 10 and get Moroccan sweets and bakes goods for your donations this week. This runs 10-3 every day this week. If you would like to volunteer at the table, please contact Hajar El Fatihi (view contact info at MIT directory).
Even a small contribution can provide vital supplies — every dollar counts. Donations will be disbursed to local organizations assisting with relief efforts on the ground.
Please also help us share this message to spread the word.
Your contribution will make a significant difference for the Moroccan people and 37 million of us appreciate you for that. Thank you. 🙏❤️🇲🇦
