SEMO Music Educators are gaining valuable experience in and out of the classroom.

Through immersive leadership roles, student teaching, and field work, educators learn the necessary tools for proper allocation and instruction in any setting.

It takes grit to deliver hands-on lesson plans that improve student experience.

Delivering a positive attitude and fostering a supportive environment takes drive.

Most importantly, music educators have to be fearless in their positioning and strategy.

Every SEMO Music educator brings inspiration and passion to the field in a unique, compelling way.

Isaac Thorn is forging his own path as a music educator.

The potential is endless when you find your fearless.

Riverside Roses Concert!🎵🌹

Congrats to Riverside Roses for the concert they gave this week!🔥

They performed popular covers as well as an original song by J. Andrews, who’s EP is releasing on BandCamp soon!👏

Over the course of one semester, this band has come together to produce some amazing sounds through our Music Creation Technology initiative! ⭐️

We are super proud to have them representing us! 🎶Here are some highlights from the concert! ⬆️👀

⭐️2025-26 SEMO Music and HCAM Awards! ⭐️

The SEMO Music Department presented awards to numerous students to recognize them for their dedication and drive over the course of the 2025-26 year. 👏

Congratulations to all recipients for their notable achievements. We look forward to what they accomplish in the future! 🎵

Additionally, our Assistant Professor of Trumpet, Dr. Deborah Caldwell, received the HCAM Faculty Service Award! 🎺

SEMO musicians and educators not only work incredibly hard in their academics and practice, but also strive to make a positive impact on their community. 🤝

Thank you to all who have supported our students on their journeys, including family, friends, faculty, and audiences. 🔴⚫️

SEMO’s Annual Celebrate the Arts is coming up this Friday!⏳

Through a combination of music, theater, art, and mass media, this performance provides a creative platform for students to share their passions.⭐️

Proceeds support both national and international performance tours, where students will network and share their artistry! 🎟️

SESO does Mahler’s 1st!🎶

Join our very own Southeast Symphony Orchestra tonight at 7:30pm for some magnificent music! ⭐️

Opening the concert will be Chadwick’s Romanza, followed by Beethoven’s Concerto for violin, cello, and piano featuring some of our talented faculty: Dr. Eva Dove, Dr. Hopkins, and guest pianist Emiko Edwards!✨

Ending with a bang, we’ll be performing Mahler I of course!🔥

The SEMO University Choir had the phenomenal opportunity of singing in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis last week!👏

They are now performing back at home, alongside the fabulous Chamber Choir and Choral Union.⭐️
