And just like that, the annual banquet weekend is wrapped up!
What a blast to tour the Pure Ice Building, learning more of its history and what shape it's in!
Followed that by the Preservationist Pop-Up at Kellerman-Lorimier Hall! The Alumni Board honored some special people during the event! First, we presented the Preservation Champion Award to Felix Kinsley and Sandra Campbell, in exemplified work to the HP program, the alumni, and so much more! Followed by that award was the Cornerstone Award, where we honored Dr. Art Mattingly, Dr's. Mary Ann and Bert Kellerman, and Dr. Steven Hoffman, in a way of creating a foundation in who we are as alumni and students of the program and effortless love and support they forever share! (The next post will include videos of those awards!)
To end Saturday evening, we attended the banquet. Great conversation, meeting and hearing some amazing remarks from the new SEMO President Dr. Brad Hodson, eating food, and of course, having an amazing presentation about oral histories from Dr. Chávez who visited us from from Kansas City, Missouri.
To wrap up the great weekend, we held our usual Sunday breakfast which had great conversations, hugs, and laughter all shared over muffins and coffee.
Thank you everyone who attended! Use the comment section to share pictures of your favorite moments during this weekend!
Stay tuned for what's to come next from the Alumni Board and become a member of the chapter if you haven't yet!!
