In February, the music department had our Music Major Day! This is where you can audition to be a music major here at SEMO to start your musical journey!

During the day, we had a Recital with other groups as well! This is The SEMO Trombone Choir playing Bye Bye Bones by Uli Nehls! We hope you enjoy!

On Tuesday, members of the SEMO trombone studio performed with the orchestra! This included Senior Music Education Major Isaac Thorn! He was the winner of the 25-26 Concerto & Aria Competition! He performed Larsson’s Concertino with the university orchestra!

We are so proud of him and his accomplishments! We are excited to see what he is up to when he gets out of college!

On March 18th & 19th, .tamaki.hoso will be coming to Southeast Missouri State University to give a masterclass with the Southeast Trombone Studio and a Recital with our Trombone Professor !

We are very excited to have him on campus in a couple weeks! Here is Yu Tamaki playing Morceau Symphonique by Alexandre Guilmant with the Low Brass Muscarium!

On Monday and Tuesday, the Southeast Wind Symphony hosted 240 high school kids for our annual honor band festival! The Wind Symphony got to perform both Monday and Tuesday night! It was a huge success!!
