The Vandiver and Henderson staff would like to wish you all good luck on finals! We believe in you! And since we're all mentally drained at this point, we'd like to remind you to sign up 24 hours in advance for checkout using the individual RA links. We will all get through this week alive!

The Vandiver and Henderson staff wishes you good luck on your coming finals. With that said, the time to say goodbye is almost upon us. Everyone must signup to checkout with an RA 24 hours in advance. The program we use is not lenient on this, it must be no less than exactly 24 hours in advance, though we encourage you to sign up much earlier than this.

Failure to signup 24 hours in advance may incur a $50 improper checkout fee. If you cannot make any times with one of your RAs, you are welcome to sign up with another RA. There are also QR codes posted around for you to scan, and an email with the below links and other checkout reminders will be sent out shortly.

With the help of Alpha Chi Sigma, Vandiver will be hosting a Mad Science Night tonight! Come enjoy some drinks/snacks, and make your own rainbow in a bottle among other fun science things! Tonight at 7:30 pm in the Vandiver first floor lounge!

Pie an RA! Our Vandiver and Henderson RAs will be in the Vandiver kitchen for you to pie if you bring two canned good for the food pantry! For every two canned goods you bring, you can pie an RA of your choice (also available to pie will be our illustrious hall director, Christopher Cornelius Clark). Be there tonight at 9:30 pm or be square!

Don't want to chance getting caught in the rain on this dreary Saturday? You can stay inside and have fun by playing Vandiver's Game of Life! You are welcome to start in the first floor lounge anytime between 2pm and 3pm and work your way through the two floor 'game board.' Snacks will be available when you finish the game and prizes will be awarded to the winning team!

On behalf of the Vandiver and Henderson staff, welcome back! We sincerely hope midterms went well and that your spring break was relaxing! That being said, we have some exciting news! Our 'Game of Life' program is this Saturday (3/25). You can start anytime between 2 pm and 3 pm in the 1st floor lounge. Teams of two are preferred, but you're certainly able to navigate the first and second floor "game board" by yourself if you wish. We hope to see you there and we hope that you all have a great second half of the semester!

Information on the WiFi outage tomorrow morning:

Wireless Internet Outage Sunday Morning:

Early Sunday morning, February 19th, 2017, from 6:00 am to 9:00 am, IT will be making changes to the wireless networking in the residence halls on campus.

This will include Towers, Dearmont, Greek, Henderson, LaFerla, Merick, Myers and Vandiver.

Wired networking will be unaffected.

We have worked with our wireless vendor; performed some initial testing and feel pretty confident these changes will improve the wireless connectivity and bandwidth in these areas.

We apologize for the on-going connection problems and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve them.

That said, wireless networking issues can surface for a number of reasons. If you continue to experience problems, please report them to the Help Desk at (573) 651-4357 or via email at [email protected]. Include the time and location when you experienced the problem.

PSA: Counseling and Disability Services Temporarily Relocated During Repairs

The Counseling and Disability Services office in Dearmont Hall B-1 is currently closed for repairs. The office will reopen on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in the following temporary relocations:

Counseling Services and the Campus Violence Prevention Program have moved to the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Room 104, located at 920 Broadway.

Disability Services has moved to the University Center, Suite 422, which is located on the fourth floor.

If you are in need of emergency services, please contact the Department of Public Safety at (573)-651-2215.

Friendly reminder that Wi-Fi routers, wireless hotspots, and wireless printers are prohibited, as the interfere with the wireless network the SEMO provides for free in our residence halls. If you are having trouble with your network connection, please talk to your RA or submit a work order request at whd.semo.edu.
