Trying to help get the word out for Shannon here; great summer job for one of you fine folks!!!

Hello Dr. Tom!!

Just following up from the talk I gave to your class last week. I’ve attached the flyer for Group Leader at Sherwood which is the basics of a position at camp. If anyone has more questions they can visit the link to apply below and check out our website also. They can also email me directly, there are several other positions open! We are hiring for all age groups and it does not have to be students who are only looking for internships, anyone in any of your classes are welcome to apply. I would appreciate it if you could send a mass email to all of your classes or anyone else you think would be interested. We’re trying to fill our staffing quota!

Great summer job/internship for someone!
I am the Program Director at Teton Valley Ranch Camp. We are currently hiring for our seasonal staff and I'm reaching out to inquire about potentially getting our job posting on your website or another resource you provide to your students.

Teton Valley Ranch Camp (Dubois, WY) is a non-profit residential summer camp, located an hour and a half east of Jackson Hole, WY. 135 boy campers join us for the first half of the summer, followed by 135 girl campers, all between the ages of 11 and 16. Campers participate in many traditional camp program activities (e.g. fly fishing, target sports, craft-shop, nature discovery), with special emphasis on western heritage, western adventure, and western horseback riding. All of our campers also participate in our backcountry trips program. We are fortunate enough to be among the few operations with permits to take our campers into the Bridger-Teton, Shoshone, and Caribou-Targhee National Forests, as well as into Grand Teton National Park. Our western adventure based backcountry trips program includes day hikes, overnight trips, and multiday backpacking treks lasting 3 to 6 days. Our western heritage based backcountry trips program includes multiday horse pack trips with Wyoming outfitters lasting 4 to 5 days.

As all of your program members are outdoor/nature oriented, I would love if some of them could work out here in the Tetons! We would also be interested in partnering with any Practicum or College Credit opportunities you give your students. Some of the positions we have available include:

Backpack Trip Leader + Backpack Trip Leader Assistant
Horse Pack Trip Leader + Horse Pack Trip Leader Assistant
Counselor
Fly Fishing Program Head
And many more!

Here is a link to our website as well https://www.tvrcamp.org/

Sincerely,
Natalie Acheatel
