38 years ago, 18 Founding Fathers established the most Honorable Fraternity in 1986 at the University of Iowa. The most honorable Baltazar Mendoza Madrigal, a member of Phi Beta Sigma, recognized a need for Latinos and other multicultural individuals. The most Honorable Baltazar Mendoza Madrigal, alongside 17 Founding Fathers, were granted to establish this honorable organization. On April 4, 1986, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity was established. We are the Fastest Growing Latino Based Fraternity with multicultural membership that exends from Coast to Coast.

On March 27, in honor of Women’s History Month, the brothers of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. held a panel discussion regarding Machismo, reproductive rights, and other topics that are believed a “women” issue. This programming was able to open up conversations that are not heavily spotlighted. We would like to thank all of our panelists, Co-sponsors, and supporters for making this event possible. We hope we can have more discussions like this in the future to help combat the ideology that certain issues are not just for women.
