Teamwork!!! Jalynn is one of our OTD students and Abbi is a SIU PTA student. They teamed up today to present to the therapy staff at Marshall Browning Hospital about the new therapy equipment, BlazePods! Jalynn and Abbi are both completing their clinical at Marshall Browning and they are demonstrating how inter-professional collaboration is important! We are so thankful for area therapists like Maegan King who supports our program by taking students for their fieldwork!

We would like to thank Steve Middleton, PT, DPT, MHA, MTC, ATC for coming back to his Alma Mater and teaching our incoming OTD students an in-depth anatomy review of the upper quadrant. Steve’s teaching experience and clinical experience are definitely helping set our students up for success when they start our program in the fall!
I wish I had taken some pictures today, but I didn’t! So here is one of the 300 slides he reviewed with students today. Steve is coming back next month to spend another day with this group! We are so thankful for local clinicians who support our program and students by sharing their knowledge!

Our program is growing!!! We have 2 Full-time teaching positions in our OT program! Since our program is a weekend hybrid program, we have a lot of schedule flexibility with remote work.
