SIU Dietetic Internship Southern Illinois University combined Master of Science degree and Dietetic Internship program

The Master of Science degree major in Food and Nutrition with a concentration in Community Nutrition is an accredited, advanced degree dietetic internship program designed for students who want a graduate degree and also want to qualify to take the examination for Registered Dietitians (R.D.). Our dynamic, graduate program empowers students with the education and supervised practice experiences ne

cessary to facilitate entry level competence in community dietetics. We incorporate the public health nutrition knowledge and skills criteria of the Association of Graduate Programs in Public Health Nutrition, Inc. and the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. In addition to master's degree work, students complete an accredited dietetic internship that qualifies them to take the registration examination for dietitians
