SIU Fraternity and Sorority Life Fraternities and sororities offer an amazing collegiate experience and have been a part of SIU since 1923. SIU has over 25 fraternities and sororities!

Their educational programs, social activities, service projects, and leadership development opportunities contribute immensely to the community. Since 1923 the SIU Fraternity & Sorority community has been a community that fosters academic excellence, leadership ability, philanthropic services, and active contributions to both the campus and Carbondale communities. The Fraternity & Sorority Life of

fice assists in advising these organizations & advises their governing councils & honor societies. Fraternity & Sorority Life is a unit of the Dean of Students. The Fraternity & Sorority Life staff advise the following organizations:
