SMITH HALL 1983-1987 40-YEAR(ish) DORM REUNION UPDATE HAS ARRIVED!!!

Hi, Smith Hallers! We are reunioning in Carbondale the weekend of Friday morning, 10/4/24 - Sunday Afternoon, 10/6/24. Make your hotel reservations NOW if you haven't already. Please RSVP in the comments section who's coming, who you're bringing, ideas for activities and when you're arriving/leaving. NOTE: The ISU vs SIU FOOTBALL GAME IS NOW A SATURDAY 6PM KICKOFF TO ACCOMMODATE ESPN+ TV!!!
Here's a TENTATIVE Schedule of Events:
Thursday night, 10/03: Arrive at Hotel.
Friday, 10/04: Mary Lou's Kitchen for Breakfast (Opens 7am)... Activity TBD (Vineyard tour? Campus Walk? Open for Suggestions)... Mid-afternoon drive to Giant City State Park to Enjoy Fall Colors followed by the Famous Fried Chicken Dinner at Giant City Lodge (Open 4:30pm - 8pm)...Barhopping The Strip til ???
Saturday, 10/05: Breakfast @ Mary Lou's or TBD... Activity TBD (Your Suggestions Welcomed)...Late Lunch at Pagliai's Pizza (Opens 4pm)...5:30pm: Saluki Stadium for ISU/SIU Football Game...9:30pm: Booby's Bar and Sandwich for Beverages and Beerblast Subs.
Sunday, 10/06: Sleep in then meet for Coffee and a Campus Walk...Goodbye Hugs and Head Home.

Hey, Smith Hall at SIU-C (Fall '83 - Spring '87) Friends: Dave Rudnick and myself, Thomas Van Zeyl, along with your help, are getting the word out that we're getting together for an informal reunion weekend in Carbondale, IL, Friday, October 4th - Sunday morning, October 6th, 2024. It's NOT Homecoming weekend so hotel room rates are reasonable - please jump on and follow our page for updates, messages, your suggestions on what to do that weekend, etc. Looking forward to seeing you in Carbondale!

Meet up in Carbondale, IL, this October 4th and 5th, 2024, with fellow Smith Hallers who lived there between Fall '83 - Spring '87. Let's get the word out to reach as many as we can! We're planning to enjoy time together Friday evening (location TBD), 10/4, root for the Salukis as they take on Illinois State in football on Saturday, 10/5, and the famous Family-style Chicken dinner at Giant City Lodge on Saturday evening.
