Our Philanthropy spotlight today is Homes For Our Troops.

Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2004 that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans across the United States. These homes are mortgage-free and designed to restore independence and improve quality of life for veterans who have suffered severe injuries such as amputations, paralysis, or traumatic brain injuries.

HFOT has completed over 370 Homes for families in over 40 States

Many recipients report significant improvements in mobility, family life, and mental well-being after receiving their home.

RAINN leads the fight against sexual violence by being the largest anti-sexual violence organization in the United States.

The organization has provided victim services to over 5 Millions people since 1994 and have reviewed over 10 Thousand state and federal bills in 2024.

Late but not Forgotten

Our August Brother of the Month goes to Briar McLaughlin! Briar joined Alpha Sigma Phi in Fall ‘24 and has been an incredible addition to our chapter. He’s someone the brothers can always count on, consistently bringing the group together day in and day out.

Briar played a key role in our recruitment efforts, always stepping up wherever needed and helping lead us to a successful rush.

When asked about his favorite part of Alpha Sig, Briar shared that he enjoys the variety of experiences the fraternity offers—opportunities he may not have pursued otherwise.
