📣 Meet the team! Martha Curtin, MSPA, PA-C
PA Martha Curtin has the pleasure of meeting with our new patients and completes most of the clinic visits with our patients. She offers in office, televideo, and telephone appointments to provide as much convenience as possible to patients.
She is a dedicated Physician Assistant with a strong passion for sleep medicine and for expanding access to care for urban, rural, and low-income communities. She finds sleep medicine deeply rewarding, caring for patients across the spectrum of sleep disorders with particular expertise in narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, and sleep apnea. In her clinical work, Martha emphasizes that a diagnosis does not define a patient’s potential and encourages
every patient to feel confident advocating for their needs.

Martha enjoys lecturing on sleep medicine at schools and hospital systems to increase awareness of a field often underrepresented in medical, nursing, and PA education. She also serves as a pharmaceutical advisor, helping guide treatment approaches for narcolepsy, idiopathic hypersomnia, and sleep apnea, and supporting clinicians in becoming more comfortable with the full range of therapeutic options to
optimize patient outcomes.

She earned her B.S. in Kinesiology from Eastern Illinois University in 2010 and her MSPA from Southern Illinois University’s School of Medicine PA Program in 2017, which is rooted in a problem-based learning model. Before transitioning into sleep medicine, Martha practiced as a hospitalist PA in rural southern Illinois. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family hiking, gardening, and long-distance endurance events—including completing a full Ironman triathlon.
