We are so proud of Claire Choplick ‘26 and her amazing work and impact at Project SHARE as a Community Engagement Fellow since spring 2023! Congratulations on graduation, Claire, and thank you for all your dedication. (Dickinson College check it out!)

If you’ve been to Project SHARE these past four years, you’ve probably met Claire.

Quiet and behind-the-scenes, Claire has supported just about every part of our client services work under the guidance of Client Services Coordinator Natasha Thumma. From client intakes and updates to ReEntry Bag program support, data entry, home delivery assistance and connecting clients with essential resources, Claire has been an integral part of our client supports.

“From day one, Claire has been eager and willing to learn and work,” said Natasha. “She has been instrumental in taking care of anything and everything I’ve thrown at her. She is a self-starter and incredibly smart. I am so thankful I got the opportunity to share the past four years with her, and she will be absolutely missed.”

Today was Claire’s final day interning at Project SHARE. We’re so proud of her and grateful she decided to dedicate four years of her time to our mission. This spring, she graduates with Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and will begin her next chapter at MIT, where she’ll pursue a PhD in biology.

We wish her all the best!

Join the Dialogues Across Differences for Appropriation or Appreciation: A Dialogue On Culture. This dialogue aims to guide meaningful conversation and an insightful exchange of perspectives about cultural appropriation, cultural appreciation, and how these practices connect to bias, stereotyping, and harm 💛🧡

Just a few highlights from our service trip working with in Guatemala! Working in partnership with the women of Tierra Colorada Alta, our team built 5 cookstoves in homes, gave a presentation about nutrition and chronic illnesses, participated in a workshop with comadrona Lesly about plant medicine, chatted with a family while shelling beans, and learned about traditional backstrap weaving (and got to try it out!).

A huge thank you to Red Tomato Farm for creating such a welcoming environment for Dickinson students! 🌱 During Pre-Orientation, students got the chance to mulch, garden, paint fences, and connect with the wonderful staff. Tasks like these gave us space to reflect, engage, and experience the beauty of community beyond the classroom.

We’re so grateful to Safe Harbour for opening their doors to Dickinson students during Pre-Orientation. Experiences like this remind us that engaging with the community go hand in hand with learning outside the classroom. 💙
