Dickinson College Children's Center Dickinson College Children's Center The Children’s Center is a part of the Campus Operations Division of Dickinson College.

The Dickinson College Children’s Center (DCCC) is a non-profit day care center which provides campus child care for faculty and staff members, students of the College and community members. DCCC is a part of the Keystone Stars Program. The Keystone Stars Program holds its centers to the highest standards in the state of Pennsylvania. The Kindergarten Program is licensed by the Department of Educat

ion. The Department of Education requires that our program be in alignment with Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood.

DCCC is thrilled to congratulate Miss Alex on earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate this May. To celebrate this milestone, Karen Quinn, Director of the "Success by 6" program at the United Way of Carlisle, presented Miss Alex with a recognition check. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Success by 6 program for their invaluable support and for championing professional development in early childhood education.

The kindergarten class went back over to the Goodyear Sculpture Studio to finish their bird houses.
They had fun painting and mixing colors to find just the right one. Then they colored some birds and hung the up for their "art show" on the gallery wall!

The kindergarten class is part way through their kindergarten countdown. Today was "Art Day". So this morning we went on a field trip to the Goodyear Sculpture Studio on Dickinson's campus. We looked at some art and sculptures and then we were able to make our bird houses!
We followed the steps to glue and hammer our houses together and then we designed and colored a paper bird house so when we come back tomorrow we will paint our bird houses.
We had such a great time and cannot wait to go back tomorrow to finish everything up!
