The psychology major emphasizes psychology as a basic science providing the knowledge and skills for students to investigate the mind and behavior. Introductory courses present nine facets of the field, from principles of learning to clinical psychology. Majors learn the fundamentals of research design in four semester long courses. Faculty members strongly support student-led research projects, a

nd all majors are able to experience the process of psychology research firsthand. The expertise of the psychology faculty spans a wide range of sub-disciplines, including social psychology, clinical and community psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive psychology and neuroscience.

A week from today is our second event in Love Your Body Week -- the Let's Eat Reception on February 9th from 8:00-8:30 pm!

Following the Keynote speakers address, attendees will have the opportunity to informally discuss and debrief in small groups on topics related to LYBW and the keynote address. Bring your own dessert and be entered in a raffle to win one of several small gift certificates as reimbursement for the item (limited quantities available on a first-come, first-served basis, registration required). Those who do not want food are free to come without registration.
