This virtual session will include a tour of SCC’s 20,000-square-foot Glass Education Center, an overview of both degree programs, and a live Q&A with program experts. An Admissions representative will also be available to answer questions about enrollment and financial aid.

Register today! Visit www.salemcc.edu/glass and click “Attend a Virtual Information Session.”

Scientific Glass Technology (A.A.S.)
The only program of its kind in the United States, SCC’s Scientific Glass Technology degree blends classroom learning with extensive hands-on training in advanced glass fabrication. Students develop strong skills in scientific glassblowing through dedicated studio courses each semester. Graduates design and create precision glass apparatus used in laboratories, universities, and industries—playing a vital role in scientific research and innovation. Alumni are career-ready and have secured positions across New Jersey, throughout the U.S., and internationally. Because SCC offers the nation’s only degree in this high-demand field, employers frequently contact the college with job opportunities.

Glass Art (A.F.A.)
SCC’s Glass Art program offers a dynamic, contemporary approach to glass as an artistic medium. Students explore flameworking, glassblowing, kilnforming and casting, and coldworking, supported by coursework in 2D and 3D design, art history, portfolio development, and professional practices. Graduates have successfully pursued BFA and MFA programs and have gained immediate employment in art institutions, production and design studios, as artist assistants, as demonstrating artists, teaching artists, and have successfully launch their own businesses and art careers.

You’re invited! Join us on Friday, May 1, at the Glass Education Center to celebrate the opening of The Glass Gallery’s newest exhibition, “Material Language”. This exhibition explores how materials communicate - through form, texture, function, movement, and sound. Language unfolds beyond words, as artists engage materials playfully and experimentally, uncovering voices embedded in the physical world.
