The Office of Public Service & Outreach is committed to support mutually beneficial partnerships making the region a better place to live, work, learn and play. We are located in Sanford Hall on Front Campus Drive just off Maple Street.

- Helps community members connect with the campus, including increasing their awareness of campus events, services, and resources available to them.

- Helps UWG

faculty, staff, and students connect with the community, including increasing their awareness of community events, services, organizations, and opportunities for civic involvement.

- Facilitates community, government, workforce and leadership development programming both on campus and within the communities we serve.

- Facilitates communication, coordination, and resource sharing among departments sponsoring public outreach activities.

- Provides leadership to the campus in identifying and addressing barriers to public outreach.

- Serves as a liaison between the university and community in exploring and developing new mutually beneficial partnerships.

- Maintains a list of university-community partnerships and assists the university with assessing their alignment with UWG strategic priorities.

- Manages the Dual Career Program, to assist the spouses and partners of prospective employees in finding employment opportunities on campus and in the community.

- Provides leadership for having UWG’s community engagement culture recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and other professional associations.
