Happy International Literacy Day!

Today, we’re celebrating the power of literacy and the spaces that help future educators bring it to life. The UWG College of Education Literacy Den is a research-informed, inclusive library where students can explore diverse children’s and adolescent literature, plan lessons, conduct research, and discover resources to support literacy instruction.

From coursework to field experiences, the Literacy Den helps prepare future educators to create meaningful, inclusive literacy experiences for every learner. ❤️📖

Our partnership with the PGA TOUR is creating new opportunities for experiential learning, giving students firsthand experience in the world of professional golf.

At the TOUR Championship in Atlanta, UWG College of Education students, faculty, and staff took the lead in operating the Fan Shop, gaining valuable real-world experience while helping UWG make its mark among thousands of golf fans.

Our faculty were out and about this week visiting some of our amazing Block 4 Elementary Education interns in their schools! These future educators have the opportunity to earn a salary while completing their final internship, gaining valuable experience as they put everything they have learned throughout their program into practice.
We are incredibly proud of the work they are doing, the relationships they are building, and the educators they are becoming!
A huge thank you to our school and district partners for supporting these future educators and creating opportunities for them to learn, grow, and make an impact while completing their preparation.
