Congrats!

With graduation quickly approaching, we wanted to feature a few students who are graduating with their Associates Degree from JALC in the same month that they are graduating with their high school diploma! 🎓
Our first feature is Reyna Hackmann from Marion High School. Here is a quote from Reyna about her dual credit journey and future plans:
“Dual credit has played such an important role in my life. Not only has JALC saved me money, but they have given me the opportunity to get started on my career much early than my peers. I will forever be grateful for the impact JALC has had on me and my education. I plan on attending SEMO for my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.”

Registration is underway for high school students interested in taking Early College courses! Representatives from John A. Logan College will be visiting local high schools to sign students up for classes for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023 semesters.

If you’re an in-district student finishing your sophomore or Junior year of high school, you are eligible for Early College. JALC covers up to 8 credit hours of tuition per semester for these courses, and students are responsible for any fees, books, and materials.

Here are the dates JALC will be at the district high schools:

Herrin - Friday March 24
Johnston City - Monday March 27
Carbondale - Friday March 31 and Monday May 1
Marion - Monday April 3
Trinity - Friday April 14
Crab Orchard - Monday April 17
Carterville - Monday April 24
DuQuoin - Wednesday April 26
Agape - Thursday April 27
Elverado - Wednesday May 3
Adams - Thursday May 4
Frankfort - Tuesday May 9
