The Rev. Dr. John Hellwege kicked off the first Caspar Cruciger Lecture of the year with his presentation, “The N**i Religion: Christianity, Atheism, or Something Else?”
Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and drinks before gathering to hear Dr. Hellwege’s lecture.
Dr. Hellwege explained how Germany’s economic collapse following World War I, the influence of groups like the Thule Society, and the growing connection between ethnicity and church membership helped shape N**i religious thought. The result was a strange mixture of Bible stories, pre-Christian paganism, Hindu philosophy, and occult practices. As Dr. Hellwege demonstrated, this N**i religion was neither Christianity nor simply paganism or atheism. Instead, it was something entirely different—and deeply demonic.
Join us for our next Caspar Cruciger Lecture on October 15, featuring a presentation by Dr. Gene Veith!
