CFCC EMS Club had the privilege of volunteering at the 1st Annual Flame Ride supporting the Special Olympics yesterday! The highlight of the day was leading the ride in our training ambulance, Sea Devil 1.

January Class Alert!!!

Our next round certification classes are finalized!!

All Courses begin the 1st week of January. All EMT-Basic Courses begin on January 7, 2026.

We will be offering an EMT-Basic to Paramedic course starting on January 6, 2026 with the AEMT test out option. This course schedule is built as a flip/flop class meeting on Tuesday or Thursday each week from 8am-5pm.

Our Degree Paramedic students are nearing the completion of their didactic component of their education with Special Population, Trauma and Life Span Development.

Today these students were provided amazing by educational opportunities.

The day began with a guest lecture from The Alzheimer's Association, Eastern North Carolina.

Next up, students had the opportunity to attend the Southeastern Community Health Workers Symposium Luncheon in Wrightsville Beach with Keynote Senator Mike Lee thanks to Mount Calvary Center for Leadership Development.

Students ended their day with a guest lecture from New Hanover County Emergency Management to discuss the roles of EMS in Incident Management and collaborations with EM, Fire, and other public safety professionals.

What were you doing this weekend? Our AEMT students spent theirs in class learning airway management. EMS Instructor Chris Gilmore brought in a simple but effective tool to perfect technique. A hammer, screw and piece of wood allowed for students visually see the importance of technique.
