UMBC Entrepreneurs The Alex. UMBC Entrepreneurs is a group created by UMBC students and the Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.

Brown Center for Entrpreneurship and Innovation is a place where UMBC students, alums, faculty, and staff can discuss, connect, and learn how to start their own businesses. It is meant to attract: UMBC students with the skills and attitude to become innovators and modern day entrepreneurs; alum with the opportunity to mentor and hire talented and enthusiastic entrepreneurs; as well as faculty and

staff that are interested or involved with the entrepreneurial ventures on campus. We promote the development of our members by providing these like-minded individuals a networking environment and resources that allow our members to complete individual and collaborative projects.

Last week, we had a great turnout for the Entrepreneurs Panel in the University Center. We heard from Lexx Mills '13, Don Miner '10, and Zozscha Bomhardt '93. Among the advice they shared was the encouragement to network, learn from others' mistakes, to take time, remember that ethics and planning matters...
