1. Registering for pep band
As per your syllabus, all students must be registered for pep band before your first game in the Spring 2013 semester. Please register for the following sections:
Freshmen and sophomores: MUS ENS 1150 Basketball Pep Band Section 07-ENS(54423)
Juniors and seniors: MUS ENS 3150 Basketball Pep Band Section 07-ENS(54419)
Graduate students: MUS ENS 5150 Basketball Pep Band Section 07-ENS(54420)
You may register online for 1 credit.
If you are registering for participation credit (0 credits), you will need to sign up for this at our rehearsal on Sunday, January 13.
2. Instrument rental
If you are in marching band and will continue to use your instrument for Pep Band during Spring 2013, please do not return your instrument to us this week (unless it needs urgent repair).
All students renting instruments for the Spring 2013 semester will fill out a re-contract at our rehearsal on Sunday, January 13.
3. Extra-credit opportunities
There are now two extra-credit opportunities available in January 2013. We will be joining the pep bands at Wapsie Valley and Waverly high schools, and we highly encourage you to come to at least one of these trips (whether or not you need the extra credit!) They are tons of fun, and the high school students get very excited for us to come and play with them at one of their high school basketball games. Extra credit trips will be as follows:
Friday, January 25 (evening, probably 5pm-9pm) -- Wapsie Valley High School
Tuesday, January 29 (evening, probably 5pm-9pm) -- Waverly High School
More details will be given at our rehearsal on Sunday, January 13. Please plan to come to one of these events if at all possible!
4. Uniform Shirts
Our uniform shirts are finally in! These will be distributed at our next games in the band storage room on the second floor of the concourse. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to pick up your shirt.
