Our chapter's history goes back over ninety years, which are full of rich tradition and brotherhood. That history was almost lost when one year, the Iota Chapter of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity Inc. In the fall of 2008, the lion of a man Ricky Kremer took on the task of reviving his
beloved fraternity head on. That fall, eight young men pledged to Phi Kappa Tau and also pledged to change the direction of the Iota Chapter. Shortly there after, Kremer stepped down from his presidency and handed the reigns to a brave soul by the name Jordan Lord. Under Kremer's observation and guidance, Lord lead the bold team of nine on their mission. These nine men had little knowledge of the proper operations and generally learned as they went along, making their experiences and endeavors more fruitful. The next fall they looked for more good men to join their cause. They found four great men who took up the pledge with open hearts. Lord maintained his presidency, and thirteen men of strong conviction set out to do his bidding. Now accustomed to how things work, the Iota Chapter was beginning to have a resemblance to the glorious Greek organization it once was. In the spring of 2010, two of the original nine members went on their way in pursuit of their own conquests, but the Iota chapter found another soul who was more than worthy of becoming a member of their fraternity; bringing their total to twelve. In the fall of 2010 the twelve members of the Iota Chapter once again looked all over campus to find the best of the best. And of those people, they selected ten even better men to become a member of their brotherhood. Now, under president Ryan McCleeary, twenty-one bright young men look over the horizon to see what the world has in store for them and they like what they see. The members well always remember where they came from, Grandpappy Ricky, and well remember how far they've come and how far they have yet to travel.
