Today, we wanted to highlight the graduates that often get overlooked - our breeder dogs! Even though they do not attend an official graduation, their promotion is still one to be celebrated. Every dog that is selected as a 4 Paws breeder must demonstrate exemplary behavior. They go through numerous health and behavior tests before being officially accepted.
Chariot, one of our recent grads, has fathered numerous litters and is actually the father of many of our Cedarpups, including Toast, Padme, Clementine, and Pine!
In Fall 2024, Irene joined the ranks of breeders and has now passed her final health testing. We anticipate her first service dog litter later this year!
And of course, we have our most recent breeder grad: Bluey! Bluey will be living with her mom, Grace, for the next year as she completes her final round of testing. Once she receives the all-clear, she will likely have her first litter sometime in 2027!
