Balancing classes, clinical training, and three jobs is no easy task, but Haleigh is proving what can be accomplished with support and determination 🦷✨

As a Dental Assisting student at Kaskaskia College, Haleigh has earned President’s List honors and membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society while preparing for a future in dental hygiene. Thanks to donor-funded KC Foundation scholarships, she’s able to continue pursuing her goals with less financial stress and fewer student loans.

Last night, we proudly honored nine outstanding completers of the Workforce Empowerment Initiative (WEI) Program! These individuals earned certificates in Practical Nursing, Construction, HVAC, and Welding—a true testament to their dedication, hard work, and perseverance. Congratulations! 👏

The WEI program at KC helps break down barriers by offering free training and support services, empowering students to gain the skills and credentials needed to succeed in today’s workforce.

At Kaskaskia College, Sarah found mentors who believe in her, opportunities that open doors, and the confidence to pursue a career in accounting. She’s gaining real-world experience while on track to earn her CPA. 📈
As part of the "missing middle", Sarah doesn’t qualify for financial aid through FAFSA, but thanks to donor-supported scholarships at KC, she’s able to complete her first two years at a lower cost—reducing the financial burden she’ll carry into her next chapter. The 2026-27 KC Foundation Scholarship Application for Priority Consideration will close on February 1! With just one application, you’ll be considered for more than 300 scholarships to help fund your education at KC.
