The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Epsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter, in collaboration with the Winding Ivy Community Development Foundation, was honored to host the Mental Health Fair: Mental Harmony on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Champaign Public Library.

This meaningful evening brought together community members, families, and local organizations to promote mental wellness, provide valuable resources, and encourage open conversations surrounding Black mental health and healthier communities.

We are especially grateful that Fox Illinois covered this important event, helping us amplify the message that mental health matters and that no one is alone in their journey. A clip of the coverage is included below.

This Memorial Day, the Epsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® joins our nation in honoring the brave heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We remember with deep gratitude the courageous men and women who gave their lives to protect the freedoms we hold dear, including our beloved Sorors whose legacy of service, leadership, and dedication continues to inspire us.

As we reflect on their sacrifice, may we also recommit ourselves to the values of unity, compassion, and service to all mankind.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and meaningful Memorial Day.
