I have the privilege of introducing yet another one of our super talented Actors with the amazing Kylie Knouf! Kylie is a graduating senior here at NCCC and has performed in every show during her time with us at the college. Kylie portrays our Military Messenger who kicks off our whole play. I am so proud to see how she has grown as an artist & student these past two years. Kylie brings stage presence in droves to our show; so come on in tonight for the premiere of “A Totally 80s Much Ado About Nothing”!!! The doors of the Fire Escape Coffee House open at 6:30pm tonight April 10th & again tomorrow April 11th! The show will start at 7:00pm so grab and a coffee & a seat! A lot of people don’t realize that in addition to Heroic characters, great Villains often make our stories really come to life. And that is never more true than with our next featured actor: Brady Hood as the irascible Borachio in NCCC’s “A Totally 80’s Much Ado About Nothing”!! Ever the opportunist Borachio makes it his mission to profit from Don John’s pursuit of mischief in Padua, Italy where our play is set. Brady is a graduating senior at NCCC making his stage debut for the Theatre department this Friday April 10th & Saturday April 11th. Our doors open at 6:30 pm, the show begins at 7:00 pm, & admission is free. So please purchase a coffee while you enjoy our show!!!

Here we are again with another featured actor today! Mathew Murphy has performed on the NCCC stage for all two years of his college career and I could not be happier to have him up there! Mathew portrays the distinguished father to young Hero named Signor Leonato. And what a grand Signor he is on our stage at the Fire Escape Coffee House! Mathew’s talents in the theatre have grown so incredibly much over the last two years and I could not be more proud of the artist he has become. We would like to invite everyone to come see our spring production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing! It is a fast-paced Romantic-Comedy starring our immensely talented group of theatre students at Neosho County Community College. Today we have you quite the dynamic duo of law enforcement with our watchmen played by Travis Young & Kaitlyn Coulton! These two long arms of the law patrol the mean streets of Padua to lock away any mischief makers around the wedding of two noble families!! I am so proud to introduce our next featured actor for today, Justin Ndindiri! Justin is studying internationally with NCCC here in Chanute and is one of our immensely talented graduating Seniors this year. He plays the charming Don Pedro in our production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Don Pedro is a wealthy noble who has began a quest to bring together two quarreling lovers in Benedick & Beatrice proclaiming “We are the only Love gods where Cupid finds his arrow loosed!” Such poetry could only come from the matchmaker of our play Don Pedro!

We would like to invite everyone to come see our spring production of William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing! It is a fast-paced Romantic-Comedy starring our immensely talented group of theatre students at Neosho County Community College. For our next featured actor, we want to introduce the amazing KJ! KJ is a student athlete for the NCCC wrestling team and certainly brings the heat to our performance of Much Ado About Nothing as well! KJ plays the lead role of Benedick, a young & promising soldier who returns to Padua after the war only to run into his former love Beatrice. “There is nary a skirmish of wit between them!” “If they were married, they would talk themselves mad!” Are two quotes that so accurately describe Benedick’s situation-ship with the fiery Beatrice.

For our next featured actor, I am proud to introduce Joseph Leach a first year, second semester theatre major! Joseph plays Don John, a conniving & scheming aristocratic brother of Don Pedro who will stop at nothing to cause the most amount of mischief. Joseph appeared in last semester’s All In the Timing production and is very active in the local Chanute community theatre scene. You will want to root for Joseph on stage, while you hope his character Don John’s plans for villainy go awry.

For our next featured actor, I would introduce Sam Cox who is playing Beatrice the sassy love interest of Benedict; but many of you already know her from her work in Sure Thing last fall semester & as Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream from last spring as well. Sam is so multi-talented; you can also see her in the NCCC Band & Choir Spring Concert later this month too! Her work has also been featured in the Art department as well as local community art shows!

Come join us April 10th and 11th at the Fire Escape Coffee House for NCCC’s spring production of a that’s so 80’s version of William Shakespeare’s classic RomCom “Much Ado About Nothing”!!! Free admission and be sure to get a coffee while you enjoy our show!

And for our first featured actor of the day: Bryce Bones ☠️ he’s a first year actor for our department, but he’s already a veteran of the stage. He plays the character Claudio, a dashing young gentleman who wishes to woo the love of his life a noble young woman named Hero. You will laugh your face off at his hilarious performance! Bryce is a multi talented artist who also plays guitar for NCCC’s band and creates masterworks for the Art department too! He’s a valued contributor to the arts for our college and we want to sing his praises!
