An exciting day for Duke University - the Open House for the newly built Alumni Association building. Our string quartet was chosen to play throughout the morning during Brunch. We had a wide variety of classics and pops which people enjoy in these situations. It was fun to be the first string quartet performing there. Here’s a link to the venue.

Our 19th performance for the Duke University Alumni Reunion. Sadly this year, the thunderstorms and heavy rain made it impossible to play in the gorgeous Gardens, but we still had fun performing in one of the gyms for the Champagne Toast Brunch crowd. The kids had a great time dancing around to Viva La Vida and other jiggly pieces. One family were very happy with the Brahms' Hungarian Dance #4 as that's where they were from!

This has been some weekend for Musica musicians! Rehearsals on Saturday and three performances today.
Duke Alumni Reunion in Duke Gardens for the 17th year!
Church cantata by Michael Glasgow performed twice at Christchurch United Methodist Church in the morning, and the T. Dubois Seven Last Words at the University United Methodist Church this afternoon. There are some very tired musicians tonight as some did two of the three gigs.
So proud of them all, making beautiful music at a special time of the church calendar.
