“I am so grateful that I found my home in Alpha Phi. Moving to a new place, I was excited to find friendships that felt deeper and people I could truly be myself around. Even though I didn’t know much about recruitment or Greek life coming into college, Alpha Phi immediately felt like home. Everyone was so genuine, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable from the very beginning. I remember walking into the house and knowing I wanted to be surrounded by these girls.
Since joining, I have found some of my best friends and created memories I will always cherish. The genuine friendships I have made in Alpha Phi are more than I ever expected to find in college. I feel so lucky to have met so many amazing people, especially my big and my twin, who always make me feel loved and supported.

Alpha Phi has given me a support system, lifelong friendships, and a place where I truly belong. These girls always know how to make me laugh, and I love being around them. Choosing Alpha Phi was one of the best decisions I have made, and I am so grateful to call these girls my sisters.”

“Going through recruitment, I was looking for a small community to make this big school feel a little more like home. I found exactly that with my sisters in Alpha Phi. Now I’m surrounded by friendly, familiar faces and an incredible group of girls who have shown up for me in the best ways . They have been there for me emotionally, took trips to visit my hometown, and were always down for a spontaneous Ag trip, which I had a lot of.

Bid Day was one of those moments I’ll never forget, and it wouldn’t have meant as much without the familiar faces of the girls who walked alongside me through the whole rush process. I was honestly nervous going in as I didn’t know a single person in my PC from home. After running home to Aphi, I recognized a girl I recognized from my College Thrive class. That moment was everything. We instantly bonded over both being beach girls, and when the Bid Day theme turned out to be beach, it felt like the perfect coincidence!

Since then, my Alpha Phi sisters have become a real part of my life in the most genuine ways. One of my girls came to visit my hometown, and I got to show her my favorite local coffee shop and beach walk. Another stayed with me over New Year’s, met my hometown friends, and just fit right in like we’ve been friends for years. Those moments meant more to me than I expected. Even though I just met my Alphas, I can’t imagine Aphi without them. 💕”

“From the moment I watched the sisterhood video during recruitment, I knew I wanted to be an Alpha Phi. It made me emotional seeing all the love, friendship, and sisterhood that had been formed through this chapter, and I knew I wanted that for myself. Even through a screen, I could see how much they truly cared about one another. I admired how much fun they had together while always showing up when a friend needed them most.

The girls I’ve met in Alpha Phi have become some of my best friends, and I know they will be for life. We clicked instantly and have been inseparable ever since. I know they would do anything for me, and I would do the same for them. I never thought I’d want summer to end so soon just so I could get back to the people who made UNC feel like home.

One of my favorite things about Alpha Phi is how welcomed and included everyone makes you feel. No matter who I talked to, every girl was willing to start a conversation, offer advice, or simply make me laugh. I knew who I wanted my big to be the moment I talked to her during recruitment because it honestly felt like I was talking to another version of myself. The friendships and connections I’ve found here have exceeded anything I could have ever imagined.“

You always make time for the people you love no matter how much you have going on, which I deeply admire. “Alpha Phi has been such a core part of my 4 years at UNC. Being out of state, I came in not knowing anyone, but the moment I walked into Alpha Phi during recruitment, I felt so at home. The genuine love and kindness of the girls in Alpha Phi made my transition to UNC so much easier.

The friendships I have made through Alpha Phi mean everything to me. Alpha Phi has given me the most amazing girls who have truly become my forever friends and future bridesmaids. The memories we have made together are ones i’ll cherish forever. I cannot imagine my college experience without Alpha Phi.

“There are a lot of things I would tell my freshman year self, but the biggest one is how much Alpha Phi would shape my college experience. I remember walking in not really knowing what to expect, just hoping to find my people. What I found were friendships that made everything feel easier and pushed me to grow into a better version of myself.

If you had told my freshman self that I’d one day help lead this chapter, I wouldn’t have believed you. I came in looking up to the older girls, and somehow I became one of them. Alpha Phi put me in positions that challenged me, but ultimately helped me grow and learn how to lead and show up for others.

Through every high, low, and everything in between, I’ve been surrounded by girls who constantly inspire me. Alpha Phi has shaped me in more ways than I expected, and I’m forever grateful for the people who made it all so meaningful 🩵”
