Student Action with Workers, or SAW, is a student organization at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill founded in 2003 for the purposes of mobilizing support for labor solidarity campaigns, especially with local and campus workers and workers around the world who manufacture UNC-CH licensed apparel. Our objectives are to raise awareness about economic justice issues to both the UNC-CH c

ommunity as well as the greater Chapel Hill and Triangle community and build solidarity between students and workers. These issues include advocating for freedom of association, collective bargaining, healthy working conditions and a living wage for all workers. SAW is an affiliate member of United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS), a national student labor solidarity network.
