By UNC students for incoming UNC students to learn how to maximize their time at Carolina. Carolina Kickoff (CK) is the oldest committee in the Campus Y, UNC’s Center for Social Justice. CK empowers students to break down barriers, explore new concepts, and make an impact on campus. We believe in educating students to embrace diversity and explore what it means to live within the “Carolina Way.” S
tudents have the opportunity to meet influential members of campus life, connect with student organizations, watch performances from some of Carolina’s best student groups, and learn cheers for UNC sporting events. Students also get to move into their residence halls early, before camp starts. Through a plethora of team-building and self-building activities, CK helps campers pursue their passions and get a running start on their UNC experience. Beyond this camp, we also host events throughout the school year as well that advocate for social justice, raise funds for the organization and promote a smooth transition to the Carolina community. As a committee of the Campus Y, Carolina Kickoff strives to promote social justice through the cultivation of pluralism by introducing incoming first years to the diverse and open atmosphere that is alive on UNC's campus. We hope that this page will serve as a communication hub for past, present, and future campers; counselors; those who support the organization; and everyone who wants to receive updates about what Carolina Kickoff will be doing throughout the year.
