12th Annual College of Education Graduate Student Conference Learning Reconsidered –The Changing Face of Education Friday, March 5, 2021
Call for Abstracts Education is consistently evolving in accordance with changing paradigms. Recent world events have blurred the lines between home and the classroom, and hence necessitated modifying our approach to education and research in order to effectively reach all students and provide support to teachers and educators across age groups. With presented initiatives, introduced policies and changed practices, we hope for a new vision of future education. Learning Reconsidered –The Changing Face of Education provides space for the demonstration of innovative changes within education by answering the following:
•How are we using teaching/learning technologies in and outside the classrooms?•How are we approaching research on education with ingenuity?•How are we supporting creative frameworks in emerging academic spaces?•Are historical events being used to trail blaze newness in the field?•What collaborative and holistic methods are we promoting within education?•In what ways have we shown bravery, boldness and/or risk-taking through the various areas of education and research?•How are diversity and inclusion changing in emerging learning spaces?•How has the pandemic affected our teaching and learning, and how have we dealt with the change?•Are we as educators utilizing our knowledge about race and other social justice issues to trail blaze newness in the field? The 2021 College of Education Graduate Student Conference is calling for scholarship that shifts the educational fields with a sense of visionary novelty. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign continues to create space for graduate level research that revels in reshaping education for the future within every discipline of education on national and global scales.
