The National Student Exchange is accepting applications for 2015-2016
The NSE is a consortium of 200 universities in the United States and Canada. There are NSE campuses in every state in the United States and every province of Canada! (There are also NSE campuses in Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands as well.) Anyway, if any of you are interested in going out next year on a placement with the National Student Exchange, it would be good to get the ball rolling.
If you'd like to learn more about it, go to NSE’s website, www.nse.org. The application requires a short application, two letters of recommendation, and a $150 application fee. The nice thing about NSE is that you are always considered an in-state student for tuition wherever you go. We currently have EIU students on exchanges to campuses on two different Hawaiian islands, Oregon, and Arizona. Our three incoming NSE students this year are from Ohio, South Dakota, and Tennessee. All EIU students (who meet NSE’s eligibility guidelines of a 2.5 GPA and in good standing with the university) are eligible to go on exchange. Honors students can even take Honors courses on many NSE member campuses.
If you're interested, please contact me at [email protected] or give me a call at 217-581-2017 and let's talk about it.
