This is the official page of the Virginia Tech Alumni Charleston Chapter We bring local Hokies together through social, networking, and volunteer events.

The Charleston Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association serves alumni and adopted Hokies throughout the Lowcountry! There are no fees to join! If you're a VT Alumni in the Charleston area, you are already a member!

From social events, to family outings and community service projects, we have something for everyone! With so many members, we strive to provide an array of activities, events,

and community service/volunteer opportunities in order to interest everyone. Upcoming events and details are available on our email list, website, Facebook, and Twitter. Our alumni live in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley, Summerville, Johns Island, Goose Creek, Hanahan, Daniel Island, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, Ladson, Moncks Corner, Hollywood and Wadmalaw Island.

The Charleston Hokies brought the energy to The Brick as the Hokies rolled past VMI for the win! 🏈🔥

Huge thanks to everyone who came out and made our first watch party of the season so much fun. 🧡

🌴Join the Charleston Hokies for our Welcome to the City event on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, from 6-8pm at King Street Hideout Hideout. Help us welcome new Hokies to Charleston and hangout with fellow chapter members.

🎟️This is a ticketed event: Registration is $10 ($5 is your registration fee and $5 is a gift back to the Charleston Chapter Scholarship Fund).

🍽️🍻Light appetizers will be provided by the chapter. Additional food will be available at the Mama Kim pop-up kitchen. Drinks will be available for cash/charge. We hope to see you there and we can’t wait to meet our newest Charleston Hokies!

Join us Saturday, July 25th, beginning 9:30am at Dunleavy’s for our Adopt-a-Highway event on Sullivan’s Island! Bill Dunleavy

We’re keeping our community clean and beautiful by picking up litter along our stretch of Middle Street.
Stop by to meet some new Hokie friends, make a positive impact, and then grab some food or drinks with Hokies to celebrate a successful cleanup.
We hope to see you there. Trash grabbers and trash bags will be provided.
