We’re excited for the Ashleyville marsh planting tomorrow from 11am - 2pm. The address is 1039 Main Street, Charleston, 29407. Park on the street. Below is information from SCDNR in terms of what to wear and bring. Be sure to hydrate tonight and tomorrow morning before you arrive. Let me know if you have any questions!
From SCDNR: We will be planting approximately 250 plugs of marsh grass at the marsh restoration site in Maryville. SCDNR will supply everything needed for the event (gloves, tools, water, first aid etc..). Everyone will need to wear clothes/shoes that can get very muddy and a refillable water bottle. We will be placing out walking boards around the perimeter of the planting area in order to keep us from sinking in the mud. After all of the boards are in place, the plants will be planted approximately 18" from each other.
