Faculty from the Lumpkin College of Business and the School of Technology attended the community breakfast held at the fabulous new Emerald Acres sports facility in Mattoon.

The students of Professor Cranstoun's TEC 5343 Multimedia and Web Technology class spent this past Saturday morning exploring both the value of captioning video to promote accessibility as well as video compositing techniques, including green screening technology. These students produced excellent results in their first attempts after learning how to work with tools that have become increasingly prevalent in the video editing industry to place the subjects of their videos within any background environment they can image!

The EIU School of Technology led a team at ATMAE for poster presentations, oral presentations, and student robotic competition.

Our poster “Automated Classroom Attendance Using Face Recognition” by Nikhil Nellamy & Dr Israr received the “Best Poster” award. Big thanks to the LCBT & SOT office to sponsor these trips and also to Dr. Grant in assisting in printing the poster.

The Senior Vice President of the IT Division from Busey Bank and a team member visited Dr. Israr's CIT 1001 – Introduction to CIT class. They talked to the class about the role IT plays in the banking industry and their own specific responsibilities, inspiring our School of Technology CIT students.
