We appreciate Anupam Bandyopadhyay from Manhattan (Atlanta, GA) for visiting campus to share his insights with our students on artificial intelligence and supply chain management. His expertise and real-world perspective provided an invaluable learning experience for our Operations Management and Master of Business & Data Analytics students. We greatly appreciate instructor, Debra Romeo, for coordinating this visit.

Debbie Bannister, Director of Student Success & First Year Programs, presented Shehna Khan, Accounting Instructor, with the Eagle Excellence award from the UC Retention Committee on January 29th. Shehna was nominated for her outstanding work with her students and advisees. The care and compassion she shows her students are a true example of Eagle Excellence. She is even known to hold evening tutoring sessions in the library for her accounting students. These are just a few of the many reasons Professor Kahn was nominated. Congratulations Shehna!

Dr. Tenney had a great time presenting to over 65 Herbert Hoover High School students yesterday! They seemed to enjoy Dr. T's Finance Track and flywheel car. A little UC swag was a great complement to his presentation. We love our UC Financial Literacy stickers!

These gentlemen knocked it out of the park this morning. I (Rick) have never been prouder of a group of students in more than 25 years of regular teaching.

Our MBA experiential learning students and students from the Entrepreneurship program partnered with students in our marketing research course to study a rural transportation problem and turn it into an opportunity.

We made our pitch this morning to an overwhelmingly warm reception. This project has the potential to make a real difference in the communities we serve. We look forward to working toward bringing it to fruition.

It’s 10:45 p.m. but we won’t stop until it is right. Students and faculty have collaborated with officials of Clay and Nicholas Counties to develop a proposal to mitigate regional transportation challenges.

First thing tomorrow morning we have the opportunity to present the idea to the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) as a result of their support to our travel to the Appalachian College Research Initiative Symposium in Washington DC.

In support of our mission, which includes, in part, community involvement, this has turned into a Labor of Love and we are grateful to be able to serve.

Thank you for your support ARC!
