🎉 As we continue celebrating 30 years of the Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) program at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), we're proud to spotlight distinguished alumnus Dr. Jake Lewis.

Dr. Lewis serves as Vice President of Government Programs and Strategy at United Concordia Dental, where he leads the organization's government relations, contracting, and strategic growth initiatives. Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in healthcare procurement, acquisition, and contract management across both the federal government and private healthcare sectors.

Reflecting on the impact of the DHA program, Dr. Lewis shared:
“My experience in the DHA program fundamentally strengthened my ability to lead complex, high-stakes healthcare programs at scale. The program sharpened my strategic, policy, and data-driven decision-making capabilities, which I now apply in my current role to support multi-billion-dollar Department of Defense health initiatives.

Most importantly, the program reinforced the discipline to translate national healthcare priorities into executable strategies that improve readiness, expand access to care, and deliver measurable outcomes across both federal and state programs.”

Dr. Lewis's career exemplifies how DHA graduates are shaping healthcare at the highest levels—driving strategy, influencing policy, and leading large-scale initiatives that improve access to care and health outcomes.

Last month, several PAS students headed to New Orleans for AAPA 2026 (American Academy of Physician Associates)—the largest gathering of PAs in the country!

From hands-on clinical workshops and main stage sessions to networking with peers across the nation, they fully immersed themselves in the profession—while also bringing the energy to the Challenge Bowl and taking home a win at AMBOSS Trivia Night. 🎉

A special congratulations to Yazmine Latimore, who was recognized as the Prentiss L. Harrison PA Scholarship Award recipient during the conference.

Beyond the sessions, they explored New Orleans together—capping off a week defined by growth, connection, and shared experiences. Well done, ! 👏

We’re continuing our celebration of 30 years of MUSC’s Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) program, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Dr. Adrienne T. Brown — a global health leader whose work has spanned more than 20 countries. 🌎

A 2014 graduate, Dr. Adrienne has built a career across federal service, global NGOs, academia, hospital leadership, and the private sector. While completing her DHA, she also participated in the CDC Public Health Informatics Fellowship Program, with early work in Haiti and India and later HIV-focused service in Malawi.

Reflecting on her DHA experience, Dr. Adrienne shared:
"My time at the College of Health Professions was transformative and continues to shape both my work and my sense of legacy as one of the few doctoral-trained individuals in my family. I'm grateful to be part of this legacy and thankful for the foundation MUSC provided."

Dr. Adrienne also completed her DHA while expecting her first child, making this milestone anniversary especially meaningful to reflect on.

Through her work across healthcare, academia, and global health, Dr. Adrienne demonstrates the far-reaching influence of the DHA program at MUSC.
