We asked current residents for advice they’d share with incoming students...
“The advice that I have for incoming students about living with roommates is to communicate, be honest, and be understanding! Being honest from the beginning about what you’re comfortable with and what you’re not, how you would like to split shared items, rules for your room and your roommates’ room, etc., will help in avoiding any altercations down the road. Be sure to not only communicate your preferences, but also understand your roommates’ preferences as well! Finding a happy medium between others’ opinions if y’all don’t agree on something requires all of you to understand each other’s opinions/preferences.” -Summer
