The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships (First application deadline: October 13, 2014; Second application deadline: November 14, 2014; Final application deadline: January 31, 2015)
The Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship seeks to attract talented, committed individuals with backgrounds in the STEM fields—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—into teaching in high-need secondary schools in Georgia,Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and New Jersey. Eligible applicants include current undergraduates, recent college graduates, midcareer professionals, and retirees who have majored in, or had careers in, STEM fields. The Fellowship includes teaching certification and master's in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) teaching field; a $30,000 stipend to complete a master's; and three years of mentoring. Fellows commit to teach for at least three years in a high-need secondary urban or rural school in the state (Indiana, Ohio or Michigan) where they complete their master's degree and obtain teacher certification.
