Toastmasters JWU Charlotte Developing communication and leadership skills, which in turn will foster self confidence and personal growth.

Toastmasters International provides a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn will foster self confidence and personal growth. Toastmasters at Johnson and Wales in Charlotte typically meet every other week. Our meetings range from an hour to an hour and a half in which we create ga

mes and activities to help students and even some teachers work on their public speaking. Students who pay to join the organization also give 3-7 minutes speeches in which the rest of the group give feedback on what was done well, and what needs to be improved on in the future. The speeches given by paying members go towards receiving their competent communicator certification. This is something that businesses are now looking at during the hiring process and can benefit members in the future.

Hey Everyone!,

We have a great general meeting planned for you tomorrow at 6 pm in the Academic Center room 432!
The weather has been crazy this last month alone, so come and learn how to be prepared and have fun indoors!
