Hmong Student Association at UNC Charlotte

Over the Weekend, a few members of the HSA team and outside volunteers, volunteered at a wedding to help out with Food Services and extra needs. This is one of the few volunteering opportunities that HSA has completed over the year to give back and to connect back to the Hmong community in NC and the areas close to Charlotte.

At the event, we were surprised and grateful to meet members on the team at GoHmoob. If you guys are unaware, the GoHmoob website is a comprehensive directory that connects the Hmoob community together throughout the United States. If you guys are interested in connecting with other organizations/businesses and interested in presenting yours, please feel free to shoot them a message!

Again, thank you Katie and Leader Yang for the opportunity to volunteer and congrats! 🎉 Also, thank you to GoHmoob for the amazing opportunity to connect us to the Hmong community. Lastly, thank you to the volunteers for your hard work in supporting HSA

Come and play in Charlotte, NC, at our annual 6v6 volleyball tournament.

⚠️THIS IS A CO-ED TOURNAMENT⚠️

⚠️ROUND ROBIN MATCHES ARE INTERNATIONAL RULES⚠️
-Round Robin, point-based, 2 games per round.
-Two brackets: 8 teams split into 2 brackets
-Play to 25 points
-Two women on court at all times
2-0: 3 points for winning team
1-1: 1 point for each team

Playoffs: (HMONG RULES AND ELIMINATION)
-Team with the lowest points in each bracket will be removed from playoffs
-Hmong rules if not known, they are in the document within our LinkTree link.
-Play to 15 points , win by 2, limit deuce scores to 20 points

Registration Fee: 40$ per team
1st Place Prize: 100$ + 60% pot money (~300$)

North Carolina Asian Americans Together (NCAAT), the North Carolina Hmong Women Association (NC HWA), the Cambodian Association of North Carolina (CANC), and the Montagnard Association of North Carolina (MANC) are excited to partner in hosting this year's Youth Leadership Summit (YLS).

Join us on Saturday, November 22nd from 9 AM - 5 PM for our annual Youth Leadership Summit (YLS) at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in Greensboro!

About the Summit
YLS is a free, one-day event designed for AAPI and BIPOC youth (ages 14-18) that offers a dynamic space to reflect and explore on their identity, history, and the impact of policies and social issues on our communities. Through guest speakers, workshops, discussions, and interactive activities, students will have the opportunity to meet other AAPI and BIPOC youth, gain leadership skills, build community and receive mentorship from professionals and community organizers across various fields.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Service hours can be provided for the participants upon request.
