Hello, UHP! Hope everyone had an amazing summer, and is having a great first week back!
August 29th is an important day for a couple of reasons. First, it’s the last day to add or drop with no grade. Second, it’s the day of our first UHP General Body Meeting. Details about time and location can be found in an email sent by Ms. Lynch in your Charlotte email account. We are very excited to announce all of the changes coming to UHP this year, so you don’t want to miss it!
This meeting is MANDATORY for all UHPers, new and returning, but if you cannot make it, there is a Google Form link in the email sent by Ms. Lynch.

We are throwing it back on this with pictures from Venture in 2016!

One of the University Honors Program traditions is to kick off the new year with a day full of activities for new students. Students have the chance to participate in high and low rope challenge course on our campus!

The Honors College staff is excited to be back on campus beginning Monday, September 7th! We will operate with reduced staffing each day, but the office will be open every weekday. Please coordinate in advance with the staff person you need to see to make sure you don't miss them.

Every year, our students study the history of Charlotte and participate in a program called City as Text. Gabby Hunter, a freshman member of UHP, documented her day in Uptown with the 2018 CAT experience. Gabby says, "We discovered areas of Charlotte that we didn't know existed and learned a little bit about what it's like to live Uptown."

? Alexis Miller is a senior Exercise Science major and has spent the past year working with Charlotte 49ers Football as their Recruiting and Operations Intern. This summer Lex was promoted to Video Coordinator making her the first woman ever to hold this position at UNC Charlotte! In addition to her ongoing work with 49ers Football, we are lucky to have Lex joining the Honors College UPIP team this fall!

? Sophomore Biology major and UHP Ambassador Jayden Corea celebrated the end of summer classes and her first year at UNC Charlotte with a family vacation to Hawaii! After taking time to recharge on her vacation, Jayden is currently shadowing physicians and gaining clinical hours as an aspiring pre-medical student.
