Sejla Podzic '26, a Business major with a Leadership Concentration and Entrepreneurship Minor, spent her time at Queens doing it all — and then some.

After transferring in the spring of her sophomore year, Sejla went on to captain the women's soccer team, serve as a Resident Assistant, earn induction into Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and become Rex, the Queens mascot. One unforgettable moment? Traveling to March Madness and making it on national television. "I have the receipts to show it!" she says.

"When I transferred to Queens my spring of my sophomore year, Queens brought peace, stability, happiness, and calm into my life — and of course with all the little bursts of chaos," Sejla shares. "With the community, people, and environment, I was able to rediscover myself and have the courage to always be authentically myself. This school gave me a family and a sense of belonging."

Next up for Sejla: heading to Miami in June for a full-time role as a Membership Sales Representative with the MLB's Miami Marlins.

We're still celebrating our grads! Stay tuned to learn more about the Class of 2026.

Andrea Parrone ‘26 carries a piece of Queens with her — literally. Her tattoo of Diana Fountain is a permanent reminder of the place that became her home away from home.

Emily Saunders '26, a Business Administration major with a focus in Awareness and Promotion, spent her time at Queens turning ambition into action.

A Charlotte Talent Initiative Scholar, Emily made her mark at the McColl School of Business — earning the school's Annual Outstanding Student in Business Award, interning with Lowe's Companies Inc., and connecting with leaders like Kristi Coleman, CEO of Tepper Sports & Entertainment and President of the Carolina Panthers.

"Queens has shaped who I am today by challenging me to see growth as something that extends far beyond the classroom and into how I think, lead, and engage with the world around me," Emily shares. "I learned to approach challenges as opportunities, to show up with intention in everything I do, and to understand that impact is not defined by title or scale, but by presence, effort, and influence."

Next up for Emily: studying Luxury Brand Marketing in Paris through the John Belk International Program (JBIP) — before jumping into her new role at Lowe's as an Analyst – Digital Brand Advocate.
