🍺 Important Announcement: Changes to Our Craft Beer Business Essentials Certificate 🍺

Dear Craft Beer Community,

We have some bittersweet news to share with all of you today. After much consideration and reflection, we've decided to phase out our Craft Beer Business Essentials Certificate program and Beer Basics: Crash Course in Craft course.

We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been a part of this program over the years. Your enthusiasm and dedication have truly made it a remarkable journey.

While this decision marks the end of one chapter, it's not the end of our commitment to craft beer education. On the contrary, we're incredibly excited about what lies ahead. We envision a future where craft beer business education is even more accessible, diverse, and enriching. And to achieve this vision, we're eager to explore new partnerships and collaborations within the industry.

So, to all the brewery owners, craft beer educators, and industry experts out there: WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Whether you have ideas for future courses, insights to share, or a desire to collaborate, we're all ears. Together, we can create something truly special and beneficial for the entire craft beer community.

We are heartbroken to hear of Dan Wade's tragic passing. In 2017, Dan and Josh were the first brewery owners we met with to discuss the development of a craft beer business curriculum for those interested in brewery start-up. Their story inspired us...two childhood friends...the brewer and the banker...a perfect combination to launch their business together.

For the past seven years Dan and Josh have consistently offered their help and expertise to us, always asking "how can we help?" Our hearts are with Dan's family, the Wooden Robot family, and the CLT beer community.

representing! Congratulations to the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship winners and a special shoutout to the NC breweries earning a medal (see list below)! The U.S. Open Beer Championship judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world. The U.S. Open is also the only major beer competition to allow the gold medal winners of the AHA’s National Homebrew Competition to participate. Over 9,000 beers and over 160 styles were judged in this year's competition.

Protagonist Beer is thanking our Charlotte firefighters for their courage and dedication during yesterday's massive fire in SouthPark, as well as every day. Charlotte Fire Department, Charlotte NC

1. For this weekend they're renaming their "Queen Charlotte" beer "The 43," for the 43 fire stations in Charlotte.

2. For every pint of "The 43" they are donating $1 to support Charlotte's firefighters and fire stations.

3. Any firefighter can get a free beer and a slice of pizza this weekend. Just show your firefighter ID.
