🏀🏀 Meet QU Women's basketball player Carmen Richardson 🏀🏀

Position: Guard #3

Hometown: Rocky Mount, NC

Q: Are you excited about this season? What are your expectations?
A: I am very excited about this season. My expectations is to help be apart of something great. I believe and know that this team can make it to the Conference Tournament this year.

Q: What players did you look up to growing up?
A: I looked up to my Dad, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, J'kyra Brown (teammate), and Candace Parker.

Q: Why basketball, what makes it enjoyable for you?
A: Basketball was my safe haven it was the sport that never let me down and got me through a lot of tough times growing up. The atmosphere and the smell of the gym was something that couldn't be replaced. Taking a shot and seeing it go in was confirmation to myself that I was doing something right.

Q: On average much time do you put in daily to be a successful player?
A: I spend between 3-5 hours daily in a gym to be a successful basketball player.

Q: Tell us something interesting about yourself
A: I am Native American, my tribe is Haliwa Saponi and I participate in tribal dances at my annual powwow almost every other year.

Hey everyone, today is a big day for Queens Athletics. Men's and Women's Tennis is playing Tusculum College at 2pm. Then we have Senior Day for the Lacrosse teams who will be playing Wingate University. In honor of the seniors, the first 20 people to each game will receive free tie dyed t-shirts. Men's Lacrosse will play at 2:30pm, and Women's Lacrosse will play at 5:30pm. See you there!

We have a busy day in athletics tomorrow!
The Track team will be competing at UNCC! If you can get out and support them that would be awesome!
Also, Sunday's Softball games have been moved to tomorrow at 5 and 7pm. This is their first game of the season at home and it is also their PINK game. If you show up to the game in Pink you get double entry into the end of the year raffle.

Hey Everyone! We hope you all had a great spring break. The Queens Swim teams both won the national championships this week. They will be back tonight at 7. If we could get a bunch of people out in front of Levine around 6:45 to welcome home our champions! Share this so that we can give them a proper welcome home!
