Bigtime Timesavers of Time: Ordering a Pour Over Coffee

We here at Cav Laundry love nothing more than a delicious pour over coffee. It’s what gets us out of bed in the morning. In our commitment to saving time, we went searching for ways to shave minutes off the process.

It takes upwards of 10 minutes to get a lower-tech, better tasting version of a simple cup of coffee. And yeah, we know the rich flavor comes from the slowness of the pour, which allows the water more time to come into contact with the grounds, blah, blah, science. Here’s how to circumvent the waiting.

1) Try calling the shop. Ok, yeah most places don’t answer their phones and if you’re lucky enough to get a barista on the line, they’ll probably laugh at you. That literally happened to us.

2) Tweet It! Does anyone besides Dominoes take Tweeted orders? We found the answer to be no…at least not at our favorite coffee spot.

3) Phone a Friend. Text your friend who you're going to meet that you are running a few min late and ask them to order for you—if you’re nice/have the budget offer to buy their cup too. It's what you've been waiting for...another WHICH BAG!

Just received the delightful new Boden Clothing catalogue and tagged this smart outfit--what painting do you think she is viewing? Is she visiting The National Gallery in London, maybe?

THE CLOTHES

Both items are good candidates for the black bag (dry cleaning). Her patterned silk blouse is definitely dry clean only.

The ottoman skirt is technically machine washable, but we like it pressed and returned on a hanger, so we say throw it in the black bag for processing!
